Cook Inlet Fishing
Alaska Halibut and saltwater King Salmon fishing
Cook Inlet offers the best saltwater King Salmon fishing on the Kenai Peninsula. Combine that with the powerful fight of Alaska's tasty Pacific Halibut, and you're in a saltwater fishing paradise.
Between May 1 and July 15 Drift Alaska Charters offers combo Alaska Halibut and King Salmon fishing trips. Halibut in Cook Inlet average 15-25 lbs and are plentiful. At the end of June until the middle of July, the Kenai Kings congregate at the mouth of the Anchor River in Cook Inlet. These trophy Alaska King Salmon average 30-50 pounds and are very eager to bite.
We tractor-launch our boat at the Anchor Point tractor launch. The launch itself is a really fun part of the experience.
